KKR vs MI, IPL 2024: Mumbai Indians star batsman Suryakumar Yadav was seen teaching his teammate Dewald Brevis how to play the famous leg kick in batting practice ahead of their much-awaited clash against Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday.

Suryakumar taught Brevis how to perfect the shot. At the same time, Brevis didn’t get the much-needed start this time, as he couldn’t play many matches and scored only 46 runs in the 2 matches he played.

The franchise took to its official social media account, where Suryakumar was seen leading Brevis in batting practice. Suryakumar has missed the first few matches of IPL 2024 due to injury and has had a tough time in the tournament as he has scored 176 runs in the seven matches he has played so far, including two fifties.

His efforts have gone in vain as his team has remained largely inconsistent and currently sits ninth in the points table with 6 points.

Often nicknamed “Mr. 360‘, all eyes will once again be on Suryakumar Yadav when the Hardik Pandya-led side takes on KKR on Friday.

MI came into this match after losing to LSG in their last match and is now in a must-win situation to qualify for the playoffs.

Suryakumar Yadav will be crucial to India’s chances at the 2024 T20 World Cup.

The explosive star batsman has been named in the 15-member squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup to be held in the USA and West Indies from June 1.

Yadav has a brilliant T20I record with an average of 45.55 and a strike rate of 171.55 after playing 60 T20 matches. Although the Rohit Sharma-led team reached the semi-finals of the 2022 T20 World Cup, Yadav was in some great form during that time.

In the 6 matches he played, he scored 239 runs at an average of over 60 and a strike rate of 189.68. Surya is expected to play a huge role for India in the 2024 T20 World Cup as the men in blue look to break an 11-year-old ICC title drought.

Suryakumar was also part of the T20 World Cup 2021 and ODI World Cup 2023 squads.
